Description
Functions and interrelationships of food nutrients throughout the life cycle of man. Includes digestion, absorption and metabolism of nutrients, as well as dietary evaluation and modification for physiological needs. Other areas of study include: role of social, psychological and cultural factors in food selection. Prerequisite BSC100, BSC101, BSC102, BSC321, be a nursing student or consent of instructor. Three hours of lecture per week. Three hours.
