A study of the basic composition and metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, enzymes, and nucleic acids. Some consideration is given to biological oxidations, energy transfers, protein biosynthesis, and gene function. Prerequisite: CHM111 or consent of instructor. Three hours.
