    Description

    Students are introduced to Clinical Mental Health Counseling by learning about the key components of the CMHC program. Topics discussed include the historical roots and three distinctives of the program, the emphasis on skill development, professional counselor identity, CACREP accreditation, gatekeeping elements, the graduate culture, advising, the two learning platforms, clinical field requirements, APA writing style, and technology requirements.
