Description
This course will examine the practice of counseling as it pertains to treatment and interventions. Evidence based counseling strategies for the treatment of a variety of mental health issues will be reviewed. Attention will be paid to crisis, trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. Students will use the knowledge of etiology, nomenclature and diagnosis to solidify their application of interventions and treatments. Prerequisites: CPY 5250, CPY 5350, CPY 5100, CPY 5200, CPY 5700.
